STRABAG Chile

Züblin, a subsidiary of STRABAG, started doing business in Chile in 1987 with the construction of the Canutillar hydroelectric plant for Empresa Nacional de Electricidad (Endesa Chile).

In 2000, it was renamed Züblin International GmbH Chile SpA. Ever since, the company has developed a wide range of projects in the fields of mining, energy, infrastructure and civil engineering works. STRABAG has been active in Chile since 2013 with its tunnelling division. Located around 45 km south of the capital Santiago, the Alto Maipo project is being executed at the moment.
