Vienna, 6.4.2009 The concession company Via Solution Südwest GmbH & Co. KG, which was solely established for this project and in which STRABAG subsidiary Kirchhoff takes part, signed a concession contract for the construction of a 60 km section of A5 motorway between Baden-Baden and Offenburg, Germany.

The scope of this Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model comprises the planning, financing, expansion, operation as well as maintenance of the six-lane-motorway for a period of 30 years by Via Solution Südwest GmbH & Co. KG. The concession company will be rewarded with the truck toll income of this section.

Total investment volume amounts to approx. € 660 million and construction volume to € 343 million. Kirchhoff’s share in the concession company is 12.5 % and in the construction activities 41 %. Construction is supposed to start immediately and is scheduled to be completed within five years.

STRABAG SE, Central and Eastern Europe’s largest construction company, had acquired a majority stake in F. Kirchhoff AG, the leading transportation infrastructures construction company in the German state Baden-Württemberg, in March 2008.
