STRABAG is one of the leaders among foreign construction companies in Moscow. In the Russian Federation STRABAG AG has been successfully operating since 1991. In 1993 a subsidiary business unit has been set up – ZAO STRABAG.
During the time of STRABAG’s presence in Moscow 1,500,000 square meters of area of various application – offices, banks, dwelling, commercial and shopping centers (malls) have been constructed. The company is cooperating with some 180 subcontracting companies and some 120 major suppliers in this country and overseas.
STRABAG enjoys strong positions in Russia to various enterprises: construction of metallurgical works in the town of Tyumen and Vyiksa in the Nizhni Novgorod Region. In Riga (Latvia) STRABAG constructs office and hotel complex Z-Tower, the major project in the Baltic States. The Züblin division – the Group’s divisions dealing with road construction and infrastructure development – is actively operating in the field of specialized underground work, energy and power supply projects.
