Hannes Truntschnig was born on 22 July 1956. He completed his qualifications in electromechanical engineering in 1978 and went on to study at the Karl Franzens University in Graz, graduating with a degree in business administration in 1981. Hannes Truntschnig joined the STRABAG Group (ILBAU AG) in 1981. Since 1985, he has held several management positions within the group, including positions as managing director of various group companies. In 1992, he was appointed authorised signatory for BAU HOLDING STRABAG AG. Hannes Truntschnig has been a member of the group management board since 1995. His term ends on 31 December 2014.
