€ 35 Mio.-Auftrag für Rehabilitation von 48 km zwischen Ghindesti und Drochia
STRABAG seit Anfang 2012 in Moldawien tätig
Chisinau/Wien, 11.6.2012 Die österreichische STRABAG SE, der größte Baukonzern Zentral- und Osteuropas, hat von der Republik Moldawien und der Millenium Challenge Account (MCA Moldova) den Auftrag zur Erneuerung eines 48 km langen Abschnitt der Nationalstraße M2 zwischen Ghindesti und Drochia erhalten.
Das Projekt mit einem Volumen von USD 43,2 Mio. (~ € 35 Mio.) beinhaltet die Sanierung der Straße sowie die Verbesserung von Anschlussstellen innerhalb einer Bauzeit von 24 Monaten. Außerdem wird STRABAG die Straßenbeleuchtung zur Verfügung stellen sowie Bushaltestellen und Fußgängerbrücken neu arrangieren.
„Dieser neue Auftrag ist ein erfreuliches Zeichen, dass wir in Moldawien Fuß gefasst haben. Dadurch ist es uns möglich, Synergien durch unsere Präsenz in Rumänien zu nutzen“, kommentiert Hans Peter Haselsteiner, Vorstandsvorsitzender der STRABAG SE. STRABAG hatte zu Beginn des Jahres 2012 über ihren Markteintritt in Moldawien berichtet. Seit damals ist das Unternehmen in diesem Land im Verkehrswegebau sowie in der Umwelttechnik tätig.

Chisinau/Vienna, 11 June 2012 Austrian STRABAG SE, Central and Eastern Europe’s largest construction company, has been awarded the contract to renew a 48 km section of National Road M2 between Ghindesti and Drochia by the Republic of Moldova and the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Moldova.
The project, worth USD 43.2 million (~ € 35 million), includes the rehabilitation of the roadway as well as the improvement of junctions within a construction period of 24 months. STRABAG will also provide all street lights and will rearrange bus stops and pedestrian bridges.
“The new order is a good sign that we have gained a foothold in Moldova. This will allow us to use synergies through our presence in Romania,” comments Hans Peter Haselsteiner, CEO of STRABAG SE.
