STRABAG SE - STRABAG: Erfolgreicher Markteinstieg in Weißrussland - Weitere weltweite Aufträge in dreistelliger Millionenhöhe

Wien, 11.9.2009 Der STRABAG Konzern hat erfolgreich den Markteintritt in Weißrussland geschafft. 
 
Demnach baut das Bauunternehmen in der Stadt Brest nahe der polnischen Grenze eine Kläranlage. Die Auftragssumme beläuft sich auf € 70 Mio. Im ersten Schritt wird die Infrastruktur zur Schlammfaulung errichtet, die jährlich 370.000 m3 Klärschlamm verarbeiten soll. Danach erfolgt der Bau einer Abfallsortierung für 100.000 Tonnen häusliche Abfälle pro Jahr. 
 
Zudem zeigt die Strategie, das Geschäft in außereuropäischen Märkten zu forcieren, Erfolge: 
 
STRABAG Oman wird den Al Amarat Height Damm in Wadi Aday, Oman, bauen. Die Arbeiten wurden im Sommer 2009 aufgenommen und sollen sich über einen Zeitraum von 28 Monaten erstrecken. Der Auftrag hat einen Wert von € 53 Mio. (USD 75 Mio.) und wird sich ab dem dritten Quartal 2009 in den Auftragsbüchern der STRABAG wiederfinden. 
 
Mit diesem Projekt gelang es STRABAG, ihre erfolgreiche Serie an Dammbauprojekten im Oman fortzusetzen. Der Al Amarat Height Damm ist einer von sechs Dämmen, die an strategischen Punkten in Wadi Aday gebaut werden, um die umliegenden Gebiete vor der Flut zu schützen. 
 
Im August erhielt STRABAG International den Auftrag, das Los 2 Ushirombo-Lusahunga, das sind 110 km der Straße zwischen Isaka und Lusahunga in Tansania, zu sanieren. Die Bauarbeiten des € 61 Mio.-Projektes haben bereits begonnen und sollen bis Juli 2012 fertig gestellt sein.

In this regard the construction firm is building a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Brest near the Polish border. The order totals € 70 million. In the first phase the infrastructure for sludge decomposition will be built, which is to process 370,000 m³ of sewage sludge per year. Afterward, the construction of a waste-sorting facility for 100,000 tonnes of household waste per year will ensue. 
 
The strategy of advancing business in markets outside of Europe is also producing results: STRABAG Oman will build the Al Amarat Heights Dam in Wadi Adai, Oman. The work commenced in the summer of 2009 and is to span a period of 28 months. The order is worth € 53 million (USD 75 million) and will be reflected in STRABAG’s order books as of the third quarter of 2009. 
 
With this project STRABAG has managed to continue a successful series of dam-building projects in Oman. The Al Amarat Heights Dam is one of six dams built at strategic points in Wadi Adai in order to protect the surrounding region from flooding. 
 
In August STRABAG International won the bid to refurbish the Los 2 Ushirombo-Lusahunga, which is 110 km of road between Isaka and Lusahunga in Tanzania. Construction for the € 61 million project has already begun and is to be completed by July of 2012.
