Ermittlungen wegen Verdachts auf illegale Preisabsprachen seit Mai 2017

Derzeit finden Hausdurchsuchungen in fünf österreichischen Niederlassungen des Bauunternehmens STRABAG statt. Dies gab STRABAG heute, Dienstag, bekannt.
Die Hausdurchsuchungen stehen in Zusammenhang mit jenen, die im Mai 2017 bei zahlreichen österreichischen Bauunternehmen erfolgt sind. Ermittelt wird der Staatsanwaltschaft zufolge wegen des Verdachts auf illegale Preisabsprachen. Im Fokus standen Projekte aus den Jahren 2006-2015 in mehreren Teilen Österreichs und größtenteils im Verkehrswegebau bei einer Reihe österreichischer Bauunternehmen.
Die Ermittlungen der Behörden sind noch nicht abgeschlossen, daher liegen auch noch keine abschließenden Ergebnisse der Überprüfung durch die Interne Revision von STRABAG vor. Da es sich um eine laufende Ermittlung handelt, bittet STRABAG um Verständnis, dass über diese Mitteilung hinausgehende Auskünfte bis auf Weiteres nicht möglich sind.

Investigation on suspicion of illegal price fixing ongoing since May 2017

Searches are currently being conducted at five offices of the construction company STRABAG in Austria, as STRABAG announced today, Tuesday.
The new searches are in connection with those that had been conducted at several Austrian construction companies in May 2017. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the investigation centres on the suspicion of illegal price fixing. The focus is on projects of several Austrian construction companies in multiple regions of Austria, mostly in the field of transportation infrastructures, from the years 2006 to 2015.
The official investigation is not yet completed. For this reason, the Internal Audit department of STRABAG does not yet have any final results of its review of the matter. As this is an ongoing investigation, STRABAG asks for understanding that no further information beyond this release is possible at this time.
STRABAG is committed to quickly resolve the allegations made by the authorities. The company is cooperating fully with the authorities in the investigation, and appropriate consequences will be taken in the event that fault is proven.
