Environmental management system – ISO 14001
Around 99 % of STRABAG’s regional business (measured by revenue) are currently certified to ISO 14001. The environmental management system supports the continuous improvement of environmental performance and the systematic management of environmentally relevant processes. Environmental officers and specialists from STRABAG’s environmental and energy management teams ensure that environmental standards are implemented, monitored and documented at offices and construction sites. The effectiveness of the system is regularly reviewed and demonstrated through standardised internal and external audits.
Energy management system – ISO 50001
ISO 50001 certification demonstrates that STRABAG complies with energy management standards. In 2025, the energy management system was implemented in Group units that together accounted for around 76 % of the Group’s output volume. STRABAG aims to expand ISO 50001 certification across Group units to manage and optimise energy consumption. Local energy management measures and audits cover a further proportion of around 6 % of the output volume in the Group’s countries.
Occupational health and safety – ISO 45001
The STRABAG Group is certified to the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system and is regularly audited both internally and externally. Taking national regulations into account, the Group Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) policy and its related documents define minimum standards for the Group, including all affiliated companies and Group entities (or majority-owned interests). As part of our business activities, we also require our supply chain, subcontractors and suppliers to align their services with the principles of this policy. In 2025, ISO 45001 had been rolled out across around 98 % of STRABAG’s regional business (measured by revenue).
Anti-corruption & compliance management – ISO 37001 and ISO 37301
The STRABAG Business Compliance Management System and its Group-wide implementation meet the requirements of ISO standards 37001 (anti-bribery management systems) and 37301 (compliance management systems). Their implementation also fulfils the key requirements of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. STRABAG is the first globally operating Austrian group to achieve Group-wide certification to ISO 37001 and 37301.
Quality management system – ISO 9001
ISO 9001 certifies a structured and transparent quality management system. The certification builds confidence in the quality of our services and supports efficient collaboration. In 2025, around 99.6 % of the regional business, measured by revenue, was certified to ISO 9001.
